The Carolina Encore Collection

There’s something about North Carolina that always calls us back—the scent of sun-warmed pine needles, the shimmer of light across quiet waters, the gentle rhythm of a place that feels like home. A few years ago, I painted The Carolina Collection as a love letter to these landscapes that continue to shape and inspire me. I thought that collection was complete… but the pull of this place had other plans. While I’ve been working on other collections over the past few years, I’ve frequently jumped back into North Carolina landscapes at the spark of sudden inspiration.

The Carolina Encore Collection is my return to those beloved scenes, a continuation and deepening of that first creative journey. These new paintings revisit familiar forests, coasts, and mountain views with fresh eyes—each one layered with new color, light, and a sense of gratitude for how art connects us to the land we love and to each other. It’s an encore not just in name, but in spirit: a celebration of beauty worth returning to again and again.

Among the sweeping landscapes, you’ll find little painted treats too. I’ve included some of my favorite local scenes as well as N.C. traditions that I cherish. Amaryllis bulbs at Christmas, a vase of fresh flowers from the garden, and a delicious little cupcake from a local spot all make their appearances.

Whether you’ve followed my work for years or are just discovering it, I invite you to step into this new collection of paintings. Breathe in the Carolina air, linger in its quiet moments, and let it remind you that home—like art—is something we can always come back to.
