These breathtaking landscapes were inspired by Raymond Carver’s poem, Late Fragment. Just like his poem, our family meanderings are about finding new paths to the waterfalls. The joy is always in the journey, and the journey is always enough. Painters and poets are kindred spirits. A poem captures a moment or thought with words. A painting does the same thing with the language of color and mark making. These new works are visual poetry of my favorite travel vistas titled with more poetry fragments from favorite writers. When I find a poem that speaks truth to my story, I know I’ve found a kindred spirit. My hope is that these paintings will to the same for you. ~ Katie Podracky
